In his current position at Providence St Joseph Health, Jacob leads a highly specialized team responsible for optimizing value across one of the nation’s largest non-profit health systems.
Prior to joining Providence in 2017, he held a dual appointment at Harvard Business School and the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM), where he worked to advance Michael Porter’s
value-based health care agenda globally. During this time, he led large scale initiatives to measure, compare, and improve health outcomes in the United States, Australia, and Brazil.
He has worked at the intersection of health care policy and practice for more than 15 years, building expertise in health systems performance, value measurement, and patient-reported outcomes. Originally from Denver, Colorado, Jacob is a certified quality improvement advisor and patient safety officer, and he holds a postgraduate degree in health care policy and management from Columbia University.
